I am Diana Fordham and I work as an instructional designer and an adjunct history professor. After receiving a Master's degree in History I decided that an excellent way to make myself more marketable in the higher education field was to pursue a degree in instructional design for online learning. I now enjoy the benefits of both degrees, creating and teaching history courses using technology and learning theory to create engaging learning environments for higher education institutions.
This web site will serve as a resource for faculty and new designers. The site will include information covering topics from learning theories to current instructional design tips, course development software and trends in educational technology. As we venture further into the 21st century new and exciting opportunities are on the horizon for higher education. In order to take advantage of this opportunities we must become students ourselves to learn how to teach in an ever changing educational environment. I love what Mahatma Gandhi said "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." Contact: [email protected] |
